BREAKING: ASUP shuts polytechnics, begins indefinite strike

The leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics has announced the commencement of an indefinite strike.

Union President, Anderson Ezeibe, announced this at a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday morning.

According to Ezeibe, all members of the union have agreed to shut all Nigerian polytechnics until their demands were met.

The strike action is coming despite the Federal Government’s move to avert it in polytechnics
