Kano dismisses four civil servants over rape, fraud

The Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board has sacked four civil servants accused of committing rape, fraud and abortion all in the line of duty.

The board released a statement disclosing that of the four, two were accused of using staff biodata to commit fraud, one was accused of committing rape in a hospital in Kurna Asabe, Kano, and the last individual was dismissed on claims that he conducted an abortion.

In the statement signed by Public Relations Officer of the agency, Maikudi Muhammad Marafa, the board revealed that all four suspects have already been found guilty of the accusations levelled against them.

He said the decision was taken following the recommendations by the board and disciplinary advisory committee constituted to investigate cases affecting some staff.
