Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, has confirmed that he met President Muhammadu Buhari for contracts.

There was a dramatic unveiling last week when Mbaka called for the resignation of Buhari, saying that God was angry with the President.

However, in a bid to defend the Presidency, Garba Shehu, a presidential spokesman, revealed that Mbaka tried to obtain contracts from Buhari and was refused.

According to Mbaka, the contracts were not solicited for personal gain but to secure the nation’s future, stating the three persons he took to the presidency were people he didn’t know.

In his Sunday sermon, the Christian leader revealed that some foreigners were looking for an audience with President Buhari to pitch for contracts and that he was merely helping them.

Mbaka said the meeting was during Buhari’s first term and not recently as being insinuated.

He said, “When they talked about giving Father Mbaka contracts, I don’t want to talk about that, I was laughing. It is a laughable, childish accusation. Whoever is saying that is a shame to himself and shame to the people he is representing.”

The cleric threatened divine judgment on the critics accusing him of soliciting contracts for personal gain, saying that “the anger of heaven will be upon them and how they will end will shock everybody.”

He dared the All Progressives Congress to report him to the Vatican, taunting that the pontiff might offer him a better position if that were to happen.
