The Lagos State Police Command has debunked reports stating that hoodlums razed the Ile-Epo Police Station on Monday.

According to reports, the police station located in Oke-Odo along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway was set ablaze as motorcycle riders clashed with policemen around 2:00pm on Monday.

However, the spokesperson for the police in the state, Muyiwa Adejobi, has discredited the report in a statement.

“The command wishes to debunk the rumour that Ile-Epo Police Station was set ablaze by the hoodlums. This news is false and should be disregarded.

“Normalcy has been restored to the Ile-Epo area of the state. No police station was burnt. Disregard the fake news.”
