President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Rukayyatu Gurin as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Administration and Women Affairs in the Office of the First Lady.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
Gurin replaces Dr Hajo Sani, who was recently appointed as Nigeria’s Delegate to the United Nations Educational and Scientific Organisation in France.
In a similar vein, Buhari also approved the appointment of Dr Mohammed Abdurrahman as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Health and Development Partners in the Office of the First Lady.
He will continue being the Personal Physician to the First Lady even as he assumes his new role.
