Boko Haram insurgents attack Yobe community in armoured vehicle


Katarko Village near Damaturu, Yobe State capital, has been attacked by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.


Residents told Channels Television on Thursday that they fled to the bush as the attackers drove into the community around 10:00am in one Armoured Personnel Carrier and six Toyota Hilux mounted with anti-aircraft guns.

It is also suspected that the insurgents might have come to loot foodstuff as today was the market day of Katarko Village.
