Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, has died at the age of 44.
The singer died after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma.
Recall that in May, reports that the Nigerian icon was undergoing treatment for throat cancer. The artist had, however, dismissed the reports in a shrouded statement via his Instagram account.
Eulogies and condolences have poured in from his contemporaries, fans and aggrieved peers.
Earlier today, Governor Seyi Makinde offered up his condolences for the singer, calling him a great ambassador of the state.
The singer has now been buried, according to Islamic rites.
