Governance: Seek help from Nigerians, Ladoja tells Buhari


A former governor of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja, has advised President Muhamadu Buhari to address Nigerians urgently in order to douse the tension beleaguering the country.

He said this while addressing journalists at his residence in Ibadan, the state capital on Tuesday.

Ladoja cautioned Buhari against continued silence on issues causing division in the country.

He enjoined Buhari to talk to Nigerians in order to douse tension and prevent further division in the country.

He added that many people have alleged that the President was no more in charge due to his faulure to address the country on issues bothering on agitations for secession, restructuring, insecurity and inflation.

He said, “He should talk to Nigerians. He should talk to us. Maybe the tension will go down. This is why some people said that the President is no more in charge. It seems he has been condoling it.

“We have not heard that this man who collected ransom on rof kidnappers, Gumi has been arrested. Are you saying that the Nigerian Army is not capable to crush Boko Haram?

“The kidnappers are kidnapping traditional rulers, they they even kidnapped a traditional ruler in Daura, the state of the President Buhari.”
