Nigeria records 238 new COVID-19 cases

Nigeria has recorded 238 new Coronavirus cases on Wednesday with 181 coming from Lagos with two deaths recorded.

The 238 cases are those tested on Wednesday and the report shows a continuous rise as against 206 recorded on Tuesday.

The 238 new cases are reported from six states: Lagos (181), Akwa Ibom (45), Oyo (8), Ogun (2), Ekiti (1), FCT (1).


According to data provided by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on their website on Thursday, Nigeria now has 170, 122 confirmed cases, with 164, 741 cases discharged and and 2130 deaths in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The national emergency operations centre has activated response level to Level 2, and continues to coordinate the national response activities, NCDC says.
