[WATCH] Nigeria’s Amina Mohammed commiserates with Haitians as crisis deepens

Haiti has been plagued by several disasters from assassination of President Jovenel Moïse to high magnitude earthquake which has seen 1,400 dead, minimum, with thousands injured.

The United States Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed on Saturday expressed sympathy and solidarity with the people of humanity.

She said “I am deeply moved by the courage and strength of the Haitian people I met and greatly saddened by the multiple crises the country faces.”

“We must come together to support a new dawn for Haiti, led by Haitians and strengthened institutions—in global solidarity and unity. “
