Six lawmakers dump APGA for APC

Six serving members of the Anambra State  House of Assembly under the platform of the All  Progressives Grand Alliance have defected to the All Progressives Congress ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Chairman APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni, have, however, received the lawmakers and immediately presented them with the APC flag at the end of a strategic meeting held behind closed doors.

The six lawmakers include; Hon. Nonso Okafor, representing Nnewi North, Hon. Timothy Ifedioramma, repre mysenting Njikoka 1, Hon. Cater D. N Umeoduagu, representing Aguata 1, Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu, representing Dunukofia, Hon. Arthur Chiekwu, representing Idemili North and Hon. Edward Ibuzo, representing Onitsha North 2.

While receiving the new APC members at a brief event Tuesday evening in Abuja, Chairman APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee Governor Mai Mala Buni restated the party’s determination to win the Anambra governorship election hence the zeal in engaging critical stakeholders in Anambra state.

Governor Buni said: “Mere looking at what is happening, especially now that so prominent and serving state lawmakers have started joining, the grassroots is moving and Anambra people are moving to the APC.”
