The Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered an independent, thorough and unbiased investigation into the reported case of theft of service pistol against one Jenifer Madueke, and the allegation of sex in the office against DPO Denton Police Division, CSP Adegoke Atilade.

CP Odumosu’s order was hinged on the publication on pages 4 and 5 of Friday’s edition of the Punch.

Punch reported that the DPO, CSP Atilade lost his gun after alleged office sex, and then got her arrested and tortured to get her to confess.

CSP Atilade was said to have also taken his 29-year-old lover to a herbalist.

Akinlade, when contacted by PUNCH, confirmed losing his pistol, but denied taking Ms Madueke to the herbalist.

He also claimed that his lover stole N50,000 from him.
