Gunmen kill three, burn bikes in Imo communities

Pandemonium ensued in the Umulogho and Isinweke communities in Obowo and Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Areas of Imo State on Friday night after gunmen attacked the village, killing three persons.

The gunmen, who operated in about three vehicles, also burnt no fewer than 10 motorcycles and injured an undisclosed number of persons. The armed killers slaughtered three persons–two men and a woman–specifically at Nwokeisiama junction.

The gunmen also shot indiscriminately before feeling the town.

The state police spokesperson, Mike Abattam, had yet to confirm the attacks as of Friday evening.
