NUPRC elevates 195 employees

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has announced the promotion of 195 employees at the recent 2021 promotional exercise.

The commission’s chief executive, Gbenga Komolafe, disclosed that the exercise was in recognition of the resilience and hard work put in by the workers to meet the aspirations of the government for the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.

According to him, welfare of staff would continue to be a priority in the Commission.

NUPRC came into operation last month from the defunct Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) as part of the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylvia, had stated that the new commission would complete the promotion exercise.
