The Nigerian Army has neutralised various attacks by the Islamic State West Africa Province terrorists.
Army spokesperson, Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday.
Onyema noted that troops of Joint Task Force, codenamed Operation Hadin Kai neutralized the terrorists during the encounter in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State on Saturday.
The statement said the ongoing operation was supported by the air component of OPHK.

It said five A-Jet, two A-29, two Dragon combat vehicles, and nine gun trucks were destroyed.
The statement added that the Army lost Brigadier General Dzarma Zirkusu, commander of 28 Task Force Brigade, Chibok, and three soldiers.
The four soldiers we killed as they were heading to reinforce a counter-offensive launch against the terrorists.
It said the family of the senior officer and soldiers have been contacted.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya, commiserated with the families and relations of the fallen heroes.
He has also directed that the troops continue in the ferocious counter-offensive and hot pursuit to eliminate the remnant of the fleeing terrorists.
