A former Minister of Aviation, Mr Femi Fani-Kayode, has been granted bail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Fani-Kayode was said to be under investigation for alleged forgery and manipulation of documents.
It was learnt that the ex-minister, who rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in September, was brought to the Lagos Zonal Office of the anti-graft agency on Tuesday.
He was however granted bail after a six-hour plus grilling by the anti-graft agency on Tuesday night.
The ex-minister in a tweet said contrary to reports that he was arrested, he was only invited by the EFCC and that they treated him with politeness and professionalism.
He however was silent on the crimes he was alleged of.
“Just arrived at the George Hotel for dinner. I was never arrested by the EFCC. I was invited & I flew down to Lagos to see them. I arrived in their office at 2.00pm & left at 8.30pm. I was granted bail on self-recognition. They were very polite & professional. Thanks be to God,” he wrote.
