UCL 21/22 Matchday 5: Lewandowski bicycle kick helps Bayern to 2-1 win over Kyiv

Robert Lewandowski scored a stunning bicycle kick to help Bayern Munich seal top-spot qualification into the Champions League Round of 16 in a 2-1 win over Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday night.

Bayern Munich needed just a point from their game with Kyiv to secure top spot in Group E and the Pole fired them on their way after just 16 minutes – in some style. Leon Goretzka’s shot deflected into the path of Lewandowski inside the area and in a stunning act of improvisation, the 33-year-old smashed the ball into the back of the net courtesy of a bicycle kick. Standard procedure.

Three minutes before the break, Kingsley Coman handed Bayern a 2-0 lead.

Bayern stayed in control for majority of the game, but failed to register a clean sheet after Denys Harmash scored in the 70th minute.
