Liverpool have qualified for the Carabao Cup semifinals having defeated Leicester 5-4 on penalties after both teams held on to a 3-3 regular time draw.
Leicester were ahead after just nine minutes when Jamie Vardy fired past Caoimhín Kelleher after being played through by James Maddison.
The Foxes doubled their lead shortly after when Vardy finished Patson Daka’s cross from close range before Oxlade-Chamberlain got one back for the hosts.
Maddison restored Leicester’s two-goal advantage with a stunning half-volleyed effort that from 30 yards, with Diogo Jota reduced the deficit once again for Liverpool when he finished clinically in the box.
With seconds remaining, Takumi Minamino equalised for the hosts taking the game to penalties, before Ryan Bertrand saw his crucial spot-kick saved by Kelleher to spark wild celebrations at Anfield.
Jota then converted the deciding penalty to send the Reds through.
