Kwara Fire Service in the early hours of Friday rescued a tanker loaded with Butane Gas from explosion at Challenge Roundabout, Ilorin.
It was gathered that the articulated truck carrying “Butane gas” had a malfunction around the Police A division area near the Challenge Roundabout causing a disconnection between the front part and the rest of the vehicle.
It was further gathered that due to the sudden impact of the body hitting the ground, there was a puncture which led to the leakage of the gas.
The fire Service were promptly alerted and prevented the gas from leaking thereby preventing explosion of the tanker.
