President Muhammadu Buhari has visited Ogun State to inaugurate some projects.
He arrived on Thursday morning and was received by dignitaries including the state Governor Dapo Abiodun, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and former Ogun State Gbenga Daniel.
The President then proceeded to inaugurate the 14km Epe/Ijebuode Express Road in the state.
At the Sagamu interchange, Buhari and Abiodun were joined by Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, and Oyo State Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan.
There the president inaugurated the Ogun City Gate and the 42km Abeokuta/Sagamu road.
Other projects to be inaugurated include two housing projects – 527 units of a low and medium housing scheme at Kobape, and the highbrow 83 duplexes at the Kings Court Estate at Oke Mosan in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Thereafter, the president is expected to hold a town hall meeting with stakeholders and party faithful at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta.
Ogun state government said the inaugurated projects were expected to bring direct benefits to residents of the state and improve the socioeconomic development of the state as one of the emerging economies in the country.
